WHERE?
Walk begins in the Blue Mountains on Faulconbridge Railway Station platform meeting there at the new times of 10.35am Mon to Frid but 10.45am on weekends and public holidays.
It ends at the next station (Springwood) by 5.30pm.Can be back in Katoomba by 6.30 pm or Sydney 7.20 pm.
N.B. No toilets at Station (please use train).
HOW?
BY RAIL FROM SYDNEY
Easy 1.2 hr train trip
- Go to the Country platform area of Central Station
- Buy $13.40 pp off peak return fare to Faulconbridge N.B.This fare only available from person in booth (not from machine) after 8.10am
- Take the Lithgow train departing 9.09 am Mon to Frid (arrive 10.34am) but 9.18 am on weekends and public holidays (arrive 10.44am). Step off at Faulconbridge Station (the meeting point)
N.B. By the very rare chance track work is on, please take the Bus that is shown to you. Do not be put off by the exaggerated time delay they say because it is usually only a maximum of 10 mins extra and we will wait for you.
BY RAIL FROM KATOOMBA
Easy ½ hr train trip
- Buy $7 off peak return fare to the tours ending point of Springwood Station but note well that you must get off at the meeting point of Faulconbridge Station.
- Take the Central train departing 9.19 am Mon to Frid (arrive 9.55am) but 9.55am train on weekends or Public Holidays (arrive 10.30am)
- Step off at Faulconbridge Station (the meeting point)
BY CAR
If one car make sure you have $3.20pp for train fare back to Faulconbridge Station (starting point).
If two cars - leave one at Springwood Station (end point for drive back to Faulconbridge).

CONDITIONS
12yrs or over need good health and at least average fitness, balance & mobility
7 km of physically challenging adventure grade bushwalking
Route is varied seasonally so you stay cool in summer and warm in winter
Slippery bits & some rock scrambling - not advised for over 65 yrs
Wilderness (>2 hrs from medical & emergency services)
No bad weather cancellations (cave fire on cold or wet days)
Lunch, drink and lockers neither provided nor available
HOW TO BOOK
Tours are available everyday all year round!
To ensure you the highest quality experience normal group size is limited to just 10 people per day
Advanced bookings are therefore essential. Please book early to avoid disappointment
Price is $95 p.p. (cash only on the day except for online booking)
Note Private group bookings for; families, schools, universities or conferences are not limited by size, age, location or duration and discounts apply. Tailored to suit your needs.
Overnight camping is optional on request but is not supervised or part of the tour (must have own gear plus bushwalking and camping experience)
NEW 1/2 DAY TOUR
Price is $75 p.p.
Only for people who have less time or fitness. This tour is part of the main tour, but concludes with an unguided walk on a proper marked bushwalking trail back to Faulconbridge Station.
Full Duration: 10am till 1.30pm
